Meet The Practitioner

Marquelle Brown graduated with her Masters in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine in 2014 from UWS. She is a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and a GAPS Certified Practitioner. Her motivation is to help clients learn how to achieve improved quality of life and optimal health and wellness. She makes nutritional recommendations to balance body chemistry and achieve the individual clients goals. My goal is to encourage people to become knowledgeable about and responsible for their own health and to bring it to a personal optimal level. To have optimal health, diet must be addressed. I recommend and educate the client how to have a properly prepared, nutrient dense, whole food diet as well as incorporate the science of Mindfullness. Mrs. Brown also integrates emotional and spiritual aspects to create a balance in Mind, Body, and Spirit. Getting to the root issues and creating balance is key. She has had success working with digestion, autism, ADHA, depression, anxiety, fatigue, insomnia, headaches, auto immune disorders, emotional issues, IBS, SIBO, and more.

As a Nutritional Therapist I evaluate the body as a whole and create a program for each individual, creating a personalized nutrition plan. I will use several tools to answer 3 Big questions for every client:1) Is there a deficiency or imbalance? 2) Will a particular nutrient work? 3) When is the client sufficient? The tools I will use are: Initial Interview and Intake Form, Food Journal, Nutritional Assessment Questionaire, Functional Evaluation, Evaluation of Blood Chemistry, and Muscle Testing(Kineseology).

How will Nutritional Therapy help with you. I believe there are six steps to wellness, structural, nutritional, emotional, eliminating allergens/sensitivities, addressing underlying infections and heavy metals, and interferances such as electromagnetic frequencies.

By addressing the diet we can identify any underlying sensitivities, stressors, and nutritional needs. We can work on balancing any stressors affecting the body through detoxification which reduces inflammation. With inflammation being the root of all dys-ease, whether it be physical, emotional, or spiritual working to remove the negative influences in your life and supporting the system with higher vibrations of nutrient dense foods will be helpful to achieve and maintain those desired goals. The tools I use will support wellness by utilizing science through the use of nutrition, mind-body-medicine, functional medicine, as well as energy medicine. These modalities will educate and provide tools to be more mindful and successful with integrating nutritional meals. Integrating mindfulness helps instill patterns of success, by removing the stressors and replacing those with beneficial nutrition and thoughts to help provide energy to carry out the demands of a busy lifestyle. Nutritional Therapy is an important piece of the puzzle to optimal health and wellness.
